Teachers’ Genetics Network
The Teachers’ Genetics Network was established in 2006. It is aimed at biology teachers wishing to be kept up to date with the latest genetics and genomics information, and now has over 400 members.
Network members receive a termly newsletter containing articles on current genetics and genomics-related issues, as well as information on relevant websites, educational resources and forthcoming events. Members are encouraged to send in articles and feedback with comments and requests for future issues.
Through the Teachers’ Genetics Network, Wales Gene Park also facilitates other relevant opportunities for schools and colleges, such as participation in consultations where organisations (e.g. Welsh Government, Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority) request feedback or opinion on science or health-related genetic/genomic issues.
