Genomics Delivery Plan for Wales open consultation begins!

Genomics Partnership Wales has announced the start of an open consultation on the draft Genomics Delivery Plan for Wales 2026–2029. The consultation runs until 4 January 2026 and is open to anyone who wishes to provide feedback on the proposed actions.

The plan is structured around several key areas, including genomic service delivery, research and people. It aims to consolidate existing services, implement new initiatives and expand into additional areas of opportunity to benefit patients in Wales. Alongside this, the plan explores how Wales can work more effectively across the UK nations and internationally to develop strategic, research and commercial partnerships.

“We want to hear from as many of you as possible. This is your opportunity to help us refine our priorities, challenge our thinking and highlight what matters most to you,” said Suzanne Rankin, Senior Responsible Officer for Genomics Partnership Wales.

The draft delivery plan can be found here, on the Genomics Partnership Wales website, along with a link to provide feedback via a short survey.
